Welcome to our Festival!

Nestled in the beautiful Almaguin Highlands, South River is a wonderful backdrop for four days of workshops, performances, art exhibits, demonstrations, music and activities for the whole family.

The 11th Annual
South River Festival of the Arts will be held from
Thursday August 7th to Sunday August 10th, 2008

Thursday August 7th: Opening Ceremonies
7 pm 1 Lincoln Street
South River Machar Community Centre
Gather on the lawn for the “Official Opening” of the
"11th Annual South River Festival of the Arts"
Then join us for a wine & cheese celebration
and meet the specially chosen artists
who grace our community.
This years "Poster Artist" Alana Boyd
will be joined by Ingrid O'Gorman, Ron Post,
Sandra Train and Barbara Hundley.

Then enjoy the live entertainment of
“Victor J” Comedian, Impressionist and Musician.
Victor J. Hanson has combined comedy, celebrity impressions,
music, a host of zany characters and lots of
well placed audience participation, to create a
high energy, interactive one-man comedy show.
